my 1st iphone(5) 1st JB, but i already upgraded via OTA. Is it true i need to connect via usb, restore, and upgrade again? Will i lose any of my settings and info, contacts, apps? This reminds me of android's hard reset which i hated cuz you lose almost everthing |

You should restore via iTunes while you can. Backup first (right-click device on left pane in iTunes and choose backup). |

you should connect your device into pc/mac...then open itunes 11 and hit backup then download ipsw for your iPhone/iPad/iPod from http://www.evad3rs.net/2013/01/how-to-update-ios-6-to-ios-61-for.html after this hit shift + restore and browse your ipsw and its will restore your device and update to 6.1. and if you want to get back some files of your device just click on restore backup and click the last backup and everything will be fine!! |

I think the jailbreak will be ready befor Sunday, see the progress bar "68%: Applications for Windows and OS X are finished. Remains linux and some testing. Come back soon!" you can try just to jailbreak with the OTA firmware but you have time to make the restore from itunes (its better that way) |

Also, Sunday is Feb 3, not 2. :-) The OP's concern is that you shouldn't do an OTA to 6.1. He wanted to know what to do since he already did the OTA. |
