I recently jailbroke my phone on iOS 6.0.1 and every time I try to go to the "settings" on my iPhone it keeps crashing 100% of the time. What should I do? |

you have to "just boot" after jailbreaking. you probably didnt do that, you're tethered. if you did my bad. and tethered jailbreak will often act differently for all phones when the jailbreak is disabled (battery died or you were forced to reset or you just didnt hit "just boot") when mine falls into the unjailbroken mode cydia apps will cease to operate but official apple apps (settings, phone, safari) continue to operate. using redsnow extras > just boot 1
In general, a device with a tethered jailbreak that hasn't been booted tethered will either get stuck at the Apple logo while booting or will boot up with all stock apps working except Mail and Safari. Settings app crashes aren't part of tethered jailbreak symptoms. oh i thought they all acted differently. my brothers 4s tethered nothing would run not even the phone when his battery died, one of the reasons he asked me to remove it. 1
Maybe you mean an iPhone 4? The iPhone 4S has no tethered jailbreaks since there are no bootrom (low-level) exploits available for it. In any case, see this FAQ answer about tethered jailbreaks for more details about "semi-tethered" jailbreaks. that is what i meant yes. |
what tweaks did you install in cydia ?
Apps that were supposed to boost the performance of my device like signal booster and wifi booster and a few other ones to but not of importance
tried removing those and rebooting the device?
Yes I tryed it twice
