How to fix some mysterious problems.

My iphone 3g which is unlocked and jailbroken with cydia recently ran out of battery, it then proceed to show an icon with the USB and the itunes logo after it was plugged back in to charge. I then tried to restore it, because I cannot work cydia, and would prefer it was back with apple upgrades. But the iphone now refuses to restore and upgrade after accessing the software. This means I am stuck in recovery mode unable to use my phone. I have tried using tinyumbrella to sort the issue but it hasn't worked. I just really need to restore my phone and get it back to a working state. The error exactly is: This device is not eligible for the requested build. Help Needed Thanks!

Hold power and home button together for 10 seconds and release power button do not release home. It work properly. You can start your phone. Do not restore if it works with these instructions. If it don't work you need to restore

You could not do fresh restore. Have the ipsw file for your version. Open iTunes wait until iTunes detect in recovery mode hold shift click restore and select the ipsw file you have and click open
