How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hello. I am stucked with my iphone 3G (firmware 4.2.1). Actually what i want to do is to jailbreak it but it does not go into DFU mode with on/off plus home (tried different computers cables and ports already). Following a recomendation i tried to first downgrade it to 4.1 to try again to go into DFU, but I can't neither do that. With TinyUmbrella TSS Server on when trying to restore I always get 1604 or 1602 errors. As read in the question "Itunes Restore Error 3194 & 2005" (althout it was for an ipad the problem is related) I tried deleting the extension gs.apple.com from the hosts files after deactivating webservices and firewall, but didn't work.

I ran out of ideas to try to jailbreak it with those problems. Please helppppppppppppppppp :( Thanks in advance

Before I was seeing cidia related web. after deactivating webservices (if i did it correctly, I did it through register adding NoInternetOpenWith (1) in Explorer folder) I do not see that anymore but GCS Default Webserver page ( "This page is just a placeholder. To publish your site, place your HTML and image files in the data directory. Be sure to name your main page "index.html" and it will become the default page for visitors.")

do you have SHSH saved on cydia for 4.1 ?

mmm.... after I run save SHSH on TU no SHSHs seem to be saved (this box remains empty). On the advance tag I do have activated "Save ALL Available SHSH, Request SHSH From Cydia" (and the last one regarding the name). The option "Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit"is not activated but it is not at option to activate it (disabled).

actually in when I run save SHSH in the log file I get the messages:

01/25/2013 11:09:26.403 For version [iPhone3G 4.2b3 (8C5115c)] - This device isn't eligible for the requested build. 01/25/2013 11:09:26.403 CYDIA DOES NOT HAVE YOUR SHSH FOR iPhone3G 4.2b3 (8C5115c) THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO GET THEM. SORRY. YOU ARE JUST TOO LATE.

for 4.2b3,4.1,4.01,4.2.1,4.0,4.02

Please could you give me any suggestion of something to try? or does this mean that I do not have any chance with this iphone to jailbreak it anymore?
