How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hi everyone,

I have two AT&T GSM iphone4's (NOT 4S). 1 brand new, and one old one. My new one came from the store with IOS 6. My old one is jailbroken on 5.0.1 and when I log into Cydia on that phone it shows the shsh there for 5.0. 1and 5.1.1, 5.1.1r1 and 6.0.1. I do not believe I have the shsh blobs saved locally on my computer.

Is it possible for me to get those blobs for my new iphone so that I can downgrade to ios 5 from ios 6 on my new phone? I tried following a tutorial for doing this but when I was going through the process it said "device mismatched, this is a 3,1 build but the phone connected is a 3,2 phone". Of course the ipsw restore file I was using for this was a 3,1 there even such thing as 3,2 files for ios 5?

Thanks for anyone's help.

shsh blobs are unique to each device, you cannot use one on another device.

Oh, ok, thank you, does that mean I cannot downgrade if I don't have other shsh blobs saved on the new phone?

No. You can only restore an iP4 to a firmware that you have shsh saved, the firmware you now have and the current signed firmware which is 6.0.1.
