I tried to upgrade my iphone that was at ios 4.1.1 to 6.0.1 by using redsn0w. I downloaded iOS6.0.1 and iOS 6.0.0 in order to do this. I used the Restore option to upgrade my iphone in order to preserve my baseband of 2.10.04. Everything goes well. However, afterwards when i need to recovery fix my phone, it keeps saying exploit failed or missing keys.plist. I hold down the home button the whole time and I also select the iOS 6.0.0 ipsw before trying to using recovery fix. Now my phone is stuck in recovery mode and I'm getting really annoyed. Any help would be appreciated. I already googled solutions for 2 days. If possible, could someone skype with me to help me out?

Did you go to extras>Select An IPSW and select the 6.0 IPSW?

Just curious why you are trying to preserve the 2.10 baseband with iOS 6, there is no practical reason for this that I am aware of.

Gevey does not work with iOS 6. You will need to be on iOS 5.1.1 and baseband equal or less than 4.10.01

I don't have the shsh blobs for 5.1.1 I thought it worked for ios 6, what can i do now?

Buy an IMEI unlock from http://cutyoursim.com. No way to downgrade without SHSH.

For iOS 6.0.1, you can use sn0wbreeze to create a custom no baseband ipsw. Place in pwnd DFU, restore in shift+restore in iTunes. Activate via original carrier SIM (or any SIM if Factory Unlocked). On a side note: just curious why you are trying to preserve the 2.10 baseband with iOS 6, there is no practical reason for this that I am aware of.
