To anyone who may have an answer. I have recently upgraded my iPhone4 to 6.0.1 I was looking to perform a tethered jailbreak. I tried several times to download the proper ipsw file, and after unzipping it, it could not be found. ( I did use the 6.0 version as described) Redsn0w did not recognize the ipsw file on my hard drive, it just said that it was not supported. from all I have read, I thought this type of jailbreak would not be this difficult. (arg) My iPad3 (5.5.1) went smooth as silk. the upgrade I made on the iPhone was up from 4.2.1 So I figure I must be doing something wrong when trying to open the ipsw file. iPhone3,1_6.0_10A403_Restore I hope I have provided enough info. I will add when trying to follow the directions in Redsn0w the simple route that just says jailbreak and install cydia, I end up with a missing key error. Anyone? Thanks.

What did you use to download it?

If you downloaded the IPSW with IE you'll need to rename the file from " .zip " to " .ipsw ". You don't extract the file from the .zip...
