4s stuck in safe mode

I have a 4S running 5.1.1. I havent installed any JBs lately. I wasnt doing anything unusual and it went into safe mode. I tried to restart several times and it keeps kicking into safe mode. I tried crash reporter and that didnt seem to help (I dont really know how to read the crash reports!) Can I backup and save all my data while in safe mode and how do I do that? Just preparing for having to restore if I have to do that. Can I restore to my current OS? Any suggestions? HELP!!

i had this problume with my iphone 4 and i held the power and home button and it came back from safe mode for me
