How to fix some mysterious problems.

I'm sick of my iPhone crashing/booting/dying due to lame Cydia stuff. (no fault of Cydia/Mobile Sub ;)

Let's build an AVO!D list.

Some apps are Broken/Outdated/Incompatible.

It won't be perfect, but it should help. Perhaps a site devoted this would push the devs to fix their broken tools. ;)

Irregardless of which device you're on, you MUST be running iOS 6.x to post here.

List ALL/ANY cydia apps/extensions that DO NOT work. Just the name will do.

sprokers...u made this post about piracy. not me.

There is already a list for that purpose. It so happens to be located here

wonderful! thanks soo much.

the only problem is, is that i have only downloaded apps that DO work ad i am experiencing nothing but constant reboots during resprings which end up in the non-safemode status which makes me "just boot" thru redsnow which then only works about half of the time.

very inconsistant. so bad that i have uninstalled all of the extras i've installed and am still experiencing horrible springs and reboots. this is the second time i've restored. it seems that some extension out there or something i'm doing is jacking up my iphone.

i'm installing 2-4 apps/extensions at a time normal as all hell thru cydia. not package backup as i tried the first time which, of course, immediately jacked up my phone as it has done in the past by installing all 200+ apps all at once.

so i resorted at reinstalling everything by memory one at a time, so to speak, and, besides taking's just not working. it's so bad that i question even jailbreaking my devise. and i'm an avid jailbreaker.

i don't know what to do. i've scoured jailbreakqa, iclarified...the web. you're list is the first thing that has come close to address the question and as i scrolled the list and finding all of what i installed all in the green, made me bummed out again.

back to the drawing board. (and of course, any other links to information would be welcome :)

thanks again!

What source names (not the URLs) have you added to cydia?

(31 Dec '12, 01:33) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

the only two are and why? do those added sources have issues. have been using them for years. although i haven't yet installed anything from them. only purchased apps so far.

I asked because I suspected, correctly as it turns out, that you're pirating. Avast ye! Restore and pirate no more.

(31 Dec '12, 01:49) spockers ♦♦ spockers's gravatar image

oh...and ranbee, pwncenter, sosiphone, and iphone modding

(31 Dec '12, 01:50) bbbyjn bbbyjn's gravatar image

well, thanks anyway. and, for your info, pirating has its benefits to future purchases. once one who pirates comes into money, as i have, they will tend to not pirate. yet the earlier pirating had gotten them into the apps/device/process which eventually pays off the devs.

like giving somebody photoshop eventually gets them to buy it once they have grown into being a viable purchaser.

as of now, i've purchased over 30 cydia apps and growing.

some cannot afford. should they be excluded?

(31 Dec '12, 01:55) bbbyjn bbbyjn's gravatar image

and by the way, you made this comments into piracy. not i.

i thought i just did, you being the baiting and then controlling clergy of this here forum, and all.

Not that I'm pro piracy or against it, but "trying" apps before buying them is a must, take Intelliborn for example, they let you test the apps before you buy it, I personally have bought almost every app they have developed, but on the otherside of the coin take photoalbums for example, I bought it and I regreted it, If I was able to test it before purchasing I wouldn't buy it afterwards but since there was not trial or cracked app to test I wasted my money. so cracked apps not always mean piracy (althoutgh yeah I understand for most users it is) but there are some users that don't pirate apps just test before buy. I don't mean to be on anyone's side or support one post or another nor make this a war, Just wanted to share my personal opinion.
