i jailbroke my iphone 4 (6.0.1) with redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3 (tethered jailbreak). i installed the semiuntethered app and had to reboot the phone. i am trying to use redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3 and "just boot" the phone back to its tethered form but i get stuck on the "waiting for reboot" screen. i tried using the 6.0 IPSW and ran as administrator but that does not work as well.

please help!

first you have to download the 6.0 firmware and redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3. right click redsnow and go to properties => compatibility. make sure "run this program in compatibility mode" and "run as administrator" are checked and click apply then ok. then start up red snow go to extras => select IPSW => find the 6.0 firmare and select it => then it should say the build was found and it should be used from now on => click ok go to "just boot" and follow the instructions that it gives you and it should work.

you MUST do this in the exact order and do this every time you want to "just boot" and make the phone tethered jailbroken again. even if you just booted it up and the red snow is still running, you have to select IPSW and do the whole process again.

hope this helps

that worked half for me. I dont get an Error but the pineapple fades away after a few seconds and the normal Apple boot logo appears and it wont boot.

Uninstall any antivirus other than MSE and re-run redsn0w. Always pre-select the 6.0 ipsw too.

doesnt work ^

i changed the compatibility to service pack 3 and checked off run as admin on the properties. once i started redsnow i selected the 6.0 ipsw and then went to just boot and it finally worked.

Did you uninstall, or just disable?

Hi james,

What other method did you use? I am stuck with the "Waiting for reboot" and would love to fix it :)

Thanks.

I just finally got mine done. If you are through with jailbreaking it. Then wait for it turn back on after the pineapple thing goes away. Then close out of redsn0w and select your IPSW (i used the iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore to do this with 6.1.3 on my 3gs.) Then go right to Just Boot. Enter the DFU mode and then it should hopefully work for you. I really do hope this helps some people out. If you cant find the IPSW here is the place to go. http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/Firmware :)

Same reboot problem... I downloaded the 6.0 firmware & redsnow 9.15b3. It's not giving me the option "properties" when I right click the icon. Does it not work for the 10.9.1 Mac OSx?
