How to fix some mysterious problems.

I tried jail breaking my iPod touch for the first time with greepois0n and I can't get into DFU mode. My screen goes white as it should and instead of words coming up on my screen it puts my iPod into recovery mode and opens up iTunes. It gets restored and then straight away goes into recovery mode and I can't get it to do anything. Is there anyway to restore my iPod and jailbreak it. I don't care if I have to loose all of my data. Please help

Greenpois0n is only for 4.2.1 firmware. Connect to iTunes and click restore, it will restore to 6.0.1. To jailbreak, see link above in this page.

Tight your data first and you won't loose it.

So do you have an ipod or an iphone? See HERE for why i ask.

So after you restore it, it goes straight back to recovery mode? Have you tried using something like TinyUmbrella to kick it out of recovery mode after a restore? There's no reason I can think of (other than a hardware failure) that the iPod wouldn't go into DFU mode.
