If you tap "Update" in the App Store and the app opens instead of updating, this is an Apple bug instead of anything related to your jailbreak.

I used the "Erase all contents and settings" on a jailbroken iPad and now it won't restore. I tried going into DFU mode and restoring; however, I had no luck so far getting my iPad back alive again.I also tried using SnowBreeze, but no luck :( . Any help would be GREATLY appredciated!

what kind of ipad? put it in dfu and just click restore in itunes. if that doesnt work, we need to know what errors.

  1. ipad 1/2/3?
  2. windows or mac computer?
  3. if windows what os?
  4. if windows, what antivirus?
  5. what version of sn0wbreeze did you try?
  6. click this http://gs.apple.com and do you see an apple webpage or cydia?

@spockers Will temporarily disabling it work?

no, and you need to edit your hosts file and remove all the lines that say apple. your hosts file is located at c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts and those lines are why dfu and then just restore does not work

I already edited the lines in c:windowssystem32driversetchosts. So I have to permanently remove AVG and try again with the restoration?

AVG requires removal, it's too persistent for a simple disable to be enough. You can always reinstall it afterward, just know that redsn0w won't work as long as you have AVG. I recommend MSE, it's free, lightweight and doesn't interfere with jailbreaking. (MSE=Microsoft Security Essentials).
