No. You have to install it by using Cydia.

Well if people know your root password (alpine = default), they could only access it if you also have OpenSSH and if you have it enabled... So I'd doubt they could break into your device if that's what you mean :)

Yea thats what I mean I don't want anyone breaking into my device so am I safe if I don't install? Also I'm nnew to this well jailbreaking my IPhone 3GS with Gp RC6 screw it up?

(14 Feb '11, 16:27) hockey123 hockey123's gravatar image

Well you're also safe if you descide to install it. You can enable it or disable it when you aren't using it, and to access it you have to be on the same wifi. So people can't access it from outside ;)

And the jailbreak itself doesn't have anything to do with the OpenSSH (besides that you need a jailbroken device to install it).

Ok thanks but will it screw it my IPhone 3GS? Using Gp rc6? Well I be able to restore with no problems if I don't like it?

(14 Feb '11, 16:49) hockey123 hockey123's gravatar image

Yes you can just restore it easily by pressing "restore" in iTunes ;)

Though jailbreaking your phone is totally worth it if you ask me :D But if you have never done it before, you might need some tips on stuff you want to install etc.

Unless some other package installs it as a dependency and you're not paying attention...
