How to fix some mysterious problems.

I have heard about whited00r, and have attempted updating to this version.

I plug in my iPod Touch 2nd Generation (MC model, which is supported) which is in "PWNed DFU" from redsn0w, and attempt to install whited00r. However, after preparing iPod for update it comes up with error 1600. What should I do to fix this?

A way to update my iPod to iOS 6 would also be appreciated.

We only give support for officiall firmwares natively supported by the devices. whited00r is considered illegal, as far as I know, so not supported by this forum also.

I heard it was legal, but thanks for the information :)

The problem with whited00r is just that they take Apple software, modify it, and redistribute it. You're not supposed to redistribute copyrighted work; it's a form of copyright infringement.

Also, whited00r is just iOS 3.1.3 modified to seem a little more like iOS 5 - it's not really iOS 5. The maximum iOS version supported by iPod touch 2nd generation is 4.2.1.
