Help with jailbreaking and Cydia for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

How to jailbreak iOS 6.0-6.1.2 untethered on all iOS devices (and 6.1.3 tethered on older iOS devices).
Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4; do not upgrade/restore (if you want to keep your jailbreak). You cannot downgrade/upgrade/restore to 6.1.2 using SHSH blobs on newer devices; older devices that can use SHSH blobs are iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 4th gen. Learn more.

So I was wondering about something, and I decided to post to satiate my curiosity. Apple doesn't check the ECID against any sort of database when you request SHSH blobs to make sure it's actually for the device requested. So just for the heck of it I fetched a set of SHSH blobs for 5.1.1 for my iPhones ECID number, but for the iPad (since iPad 5.1.1 SHSH blobs are still signed).

I'm assuming that these are totally useless, since the device type not just the ECID is part of the signing process, correct?

Nope, not anyone else's SHSH, a SHSH I had signed for my ECID, but with a different device type.
