How to fix some mysterious problems.

I followed the directions to jailbreak my new Iphone5 and got to the step of selecting the IPSW that I downloaded for my device. When I do that I get error message "unsupported IPSW"....the IPSW is not supported by this version of redsn0w. I then downloaded version 0.9.15b1 which gave me the same error message. Did I pay for a jailbreak that is bogus?
