How to fix some mysterious problems.

Running on Windows 7, using tinyumbrella-4.21.07, have iPhone 4 4.2.1 locked.

I'm unable to save it's SHSH blob. I open it, and it just behaves as if no device is connected. Hence I'm unable so save the blobs. I tried all sorts of settings in it too.

Yes, my OS recognizes the device.

Are you running TinyUmbrella as administrator? Give that a try please. You might also want to try running it in XP compatible mode.

If you're already on 4.2.1 with an iPhone 4, then don't worry about saving your SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella; that's only required for maintaining your baseband, and you'll already be at 03.10.01.

Just run greenpois0n and once you launch Cydia, it'll send a request in to save your SHSH blobs.

You can resolve the TinyUmbrella issue later.

Good point, the SHSH will be in Cydia anyways. No need to fix the issue before using the jailbreak
