How to fix some mysterious problems.

Yesterday (9/27/2012) I downloaded some updates from Cydia, for Cydia (if that makes sense). I don't remember the names of these files as I wasn't paying attention to what they where, just that they needed to be update, I think that one of them was "mobilesubstrate". After I downloaded all the updates I respringed my device and it crashed and has been stuck on boot logo. I tried restoring on itunes but I get a 3194 error, I tried the "Just Boot" option on Redsnow 0.9.14b2 but that didn't help, later just tried to jailbreak it and that also failed. I've also deleted the "DynamicLibraries" folder, the launchd.conf and the "" thing from my host files. I can access the ipod with iFunBox and SSH and itunes recognize the ipod, it just wont boot.

You already messed up system files beyond repair by deleting stuff. You need to restore the firmware. See this FAQ entry on how to restore to 5.1.1 custom ipsw with stitched blobs.

Thanks a lot, finally got Itunes to restore my ipod. I tried googleling how to get out of boot loop but all the suggestions didn't work. Also didn't knowthat you needed custom ipsw for recovering ios 5.x and up.
