How to fix some mysterious problems.

Hi guys,

Got greenposi0n rc6 to load up on my Appletv2

but now I have no remote control.!

I carried out the jailbreak on both a mac and then a PC just to see if some drivers were not loaded but no good.

Any ideas ?

I'm assuming you're talking about the physical remote that comes with the AppleTV?

So it's working before the jailbreak, and you're using it to put the ATV into DFU mode, right?

Does the ATV light flash amber when you press buttons on the remote? If so, that might indicate that the remote is paired, so won't operate the ATV (no idea how this could happen). If so, you can unpair the remote by holding down the Menu and Left buttons for 6 seconds. You can pair it by holding down the Menu and Right buttons for 6 seconds.

I sorted it by starting again and carrying out the jailbreak WITHOUT attaching the power just the usb cable.

At the time the ATV had its usual white coloured light that blinked when I pressed any button on the remote so I assume pairing was not an issue...The ATV menu screen appeared to be frozen... All is good now though

But thank you for your answer
