How many ways are there to remove cydia? Which way is the most safe way and which is the most dangerous way?

I was gonna give my iPod touch to my cousin so I didn't want him to stumble upon cydia and mess up theipod.

I thought Cydelete would also remove it? But this way is pretty dangerous.

You can easily uninstall Cydia using CyDelete, or by going to the "Cydia Installer" page in Cydia and uninstalling it, but that won't remove the jailbreak. To remove the jailbreak, you have to restore the device. It sounds best to restore the device in this case.

go to settings, general, go to the bottom. it will say reset, click on it and you will see erase all content and settings. you can delete everything there

and this will get the device stuck in a bootloop and need to restore in itunes anyways. Considering this question I would suggest you refrain from advising on questions.

craigymeighan is completely wrong.

why don't you install sbsettings and hide the cydia icon?!
