How to fix some mysterious problems.

I have an Iphone 4, 4.2.1, was jailbreak with redsnow thetered then I installed the GreenPois0n RC5b2. All well and good until he appeared GreenPois0n RC5b4. I thought it was a better version and so I installed it. But I have seen a rapid battery drain. I reinstalled GreenPois0n RC5b2 over b4 and now everything is ok. What happens?

Thank you to those who have created and tried to defend GreenPois0n. You made me life easier!

I think that b4 and RC6 Final are not normally because of battery discharging... This is the point of this topic.. Where can I get now b2?? Only RC6 Final is available to download... Why produce RC Final if it doesn`t work normally???....

You might want to try installing BatteryLogger and/or BatteryDetective off Cydia, they're both very useful tools for working out what specific apps are causing the battery drain.

OKAY SO IT"S OFFICIAL...Greenposi0n is the battery draining problem!

I jailbroke my iPhone 4, restored as new and JB with GP. I tried RC5-2, RC5-4 and RC5-Final...I would charge my battery up to 100% and just leave it over night on standby mode, with NOTHING else running in the background. I'd wake up 8-10 hours later and find my battery depleted by over 40%-50%.

Yesterday I re-jailbroke my phone with Redsn0w and put everything the same way it was when I was using GP...well this morning after leaving the phone on standby for almost 10hours I woke up to a full battery with an 89% charge.

I'd say this is proof enough that GP is the culprit!!

There is no reason to believe that GP jailbreak drains you battery any more than being unjailbroken.

Unless you had to hacktivate your phone. Have a look at the below if you have hacktivated as this may resolve your problem.

Toliver, I think u dont understand me or u dont read all. I tell here that b4 drain battery much more than b2 because When I have installed b4 over b2 battery drain much more than normal. After that i install b2 back over b4 and drain battery is normal. So I think, normaly, that b4 drain battery much more that b2. Ok?

I just did a fresh restore with greenpois0n RC6 final version, did not had the battery drain issues... Guys who had a battery issues better did a fresh restore iOS 4.2.1 & setup as new iPhone, throw away your old backup files~!! it should solved the battery issues!

I've found a solution on this board. I too had the same battery drain issues and have fixed it by:-

1.Changing all push email to retrieve every 15 mins 2.Uninstalled any non essential Cydia apps Battery lasting like new now.

Man... I repeat: my prpblem is that GP rc5 b4 drain much more battery than rc5 b2. I have installed b4 and battery was drain faster and I put over b2 abd battery drain was normal... That is my big question: why?

But with rc6 final i think all things is ok with battery, so...
