Hi, I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.2 and baseband 01.59.00. I want to upgrade to 5.0.1 custom firmware preserving the baseband using redsn0w_win_0.9.10b5c but am getting the aforementioned "Missing Keys.plist data for this build" message. Could anybody tell me what I am doing wrong and how can this be fixed? Thank you in advance. |

ok, u have a gold "iphone4" in the sense u have that baseband. unless u had cydia installed and were opening it regularily u probabily dont have 5.0.1 shsh blobs. but it doesnt matter, because 5.1.1 is the latest firmware, and its better than 5.0.1. just download iphone4 5.1.1 firmware (there are two, whichever is fine) and then download redsn0w 0.9.12b2. in redsn0w, preserve baseband and then enter pwned dfu mode. then open itunes, shift+click restore button and look for your firmware file and select it. After restore is complete, u will be on 5.1.1 firmware, and still have 1.59 firmware. After this its just a matter of jailbreaking with redsn0w and then installing ultrasn0w from cydia. btw, if ure getting errors on restoring after making a preserved 511 firmware, use redsn0w 0.9.12b1. i just couldnt get the restore to complete with a custom ipsw made from that version. |
