i was trying to download few things from the app store but i was getting the error 1009, and been told to use the VPN with a proxy to get the apps, i tried but still getting << server is unreachable try reconnecting...>> can any one help me with some VPN data to fill up if the problem is originally that. |

I have googled for an explanation of 1009 error, and it seems most people think its because of a block placed by apple and this could be specific to your country IP address pool, in order to change your public IP you will need to use a VPN service, you can search for HotSpotShield, its a free VPN service for the PC, but once the App is downloaded in itunes its just a sync away, there is also instructions on how to install HotSpotShield to iPhone on the following link: http://hotspotshield.com/clientless/iphone/get_started.php If you're like me and don't trust "free" service you can try WiTopia.net, i have found they offer the cheapest and most reliable VPN service, from their site the most suitable is the PPTP VPN service, or get a CloakBox which extends VPN over a WiFi router so any WiFi user in your house will have access to internet through VPN without configuring anything extra on the devices/computers. |

Hi.. thank you for your help... i filled up the L2TP with some random data except for the proxy server i put 98.224.122.193:8088 and the others are random... and i had thePPTP and IPSec automatically filled...
You can't set up a VPN connection with random data. You'll need an actual account; VPN's are tunnels to another machine, so that data will need to be valid addresses to that machine.
