I have a new-bootrom 3GS 8GB that i bricked by installing the iPad baseband onto. (i was a noob lol) so the phone can't make calls, use WiFi, Bluetooth etc and keeps restarting.. anyway, i'm aware this can't be fixed, but instead of it lying around doing nothing i want to make use of it; play games etc. so I restored the phone to 5.1.1, used redsn0w to jailbreak and hactivate.. can't access cydia due to no WiFi, so I installed debs manually via iFunBox tool such as Rocky Racoon untethered, [redacted], [redacted], mobile substrate etc.. So yes i can now install apps and still have fun with it.. BUT the phone keeps restarting! At first i thought this was due to it trying to get a connection with the corrupt baseband, so i tried displaying Location Services and put the iPhone in Airplane mode, but the phone still restarts randomly.. Is there anyway this can be avoided? Any cydia debs that can fix this? or any other method that will keep the phone from restarting? Thank You! :) |
