Did you use a No_BB custom IPSW?

Try reflashing the iPad baseband. Untick install Cydia.

tried bt showed ipad baseband failed while fetching data . might be due poor internet connection. will try again but, will this make my sim work for sure?

We don't know whether it'll make your SIM work for sure, but it's generally a helpful step to take.

Do as they say. Reflash your ipad baseband. Downgrading will not help in anyway.

No way to downgrade. Install iPad baseband is irreversible. Yes it's permanent. Yes no way to downgrade.

  1. Go to cydia

  2. Click on "Manage" (something like that, sorry my iphone was broken so I am not sure what exactly it is)

  3. Click on "Add source"

  4. add this source :""

  5. After that, search this patch named "Commcenter patch for iPhone". Install it then done.

My iphone 3gs got signal using this solution, but after one night it turned to white screen and while trying to fix it, I broke the lcd cable, and of course, nothing appears on the screen at all. I was really got mad at that time.
