How to fix some mysterious problems.

So before I tried GreenPois0n I had the redsn0w tethered jailbreak for iphone 4 4.2.1 and everything for the most part worked fine, but after jailbreaking with greenpois0n, apps installed before such as backgrounder, multiflow, iconoclasm and others crash the os. Is this because of the firmware or greenpois0n itself? I'm considering just going back to redsn0w.

There should be no difference between a tethered jailbroken 4.2.1 with redsn0w and a greenpois0n jailbreak on 4.2.1 from an applications point of view.

As http said, there shouldnt be any difference at all between the tethered and untethered jb's of redsnow and GP. One thing you might consider is to dl and run an app like Pkgbackup or some other package backup program from cydia and then sync your computer so it has that stored in your itunes. Then redo your 4.2.1 and rejailbreak fresh with GP and sync and reload your packages using your backup program. Or just redownload all the cydia packages manually separately. The Tethered GP is well worth the JB over the tethered one. NOT that I am knocking the tethered jb of redsnow, as it did rule, but I wouldnt trade a tethered for an untethered at all. :)

Just a few suggestions and hopefully helped some or gave you a few ideas :) :)

Good Luck! ;)
