How to fix some mysterious problems.

So, all of a sudden, my computer or iTunes ( won't recognize my iPhone when plugged in. It's an iPhone 4S on 5.0.1 with the untethered jailbreak.

I know it's not the USB or anything like that because my iPad (not jailbroken, iOS 5.1) syncs fine with the same cable, port & computer. And the phone charges just fine. I tried putting it in safe mode but it still wouldn't show up in Windows Explorer or iTunes.

I have Activator, BytaFont, Clear Lockscreen, Color Keyboard, Copic, FolderEnhancer, Gridlock, Iconoclasm, iEagleEye, iFile, My3G, NCSettings, Safe Mode Launcher, Springtomize 2, Winterboard, and xMessages installed.

If you have had PhotoAlbums+ installed at any time in the last couple of months it will most likely be the culprit as per the query from @justinred. If you have, do this:

  1. Plug your iphone into your computer (It won't charge)
  2. Hold power and home buttons for 10-15 seconds, ignoring everything on the screen, until you see the white apple logo and release both. When it has finished rebooting it will start charging.
  3. Add to your Cydia sources.
  4. Now install the latest PhotoAlbums+ and it will be fixed. You can uninstall again if you want, but you have to install the new one to permanently fix the problem. If you don't, the problem will reappear after any reboot when not connected to a computer.

If you didn't know, the second tweak you mentioned is equal to piracy. Try to reboot your phone + computer and see if it works.

Also, remove the last tweak you installed which started this problem.

I've restarted my phone and computer multiple times. I also uninstalled the last 5 or so tweaks I had (not mentioned above because I don't remember them)

Try connecting to another computer with latest iTunes if it gets detected.

The latest version of PhotoAlbums+ fixes this and several other bugs. It also adds the new feature of controlling Photo Stream.
